It’s that time! Grab your cup and let’s have a Coffee Talk Tuesday chat.
If we were having coffee together this week, I’d tell you that this is the week of Street Party! Will I see you there? It’s a FREE admission event, and it’s the kick-off of the Chestertown Tea Party Festival. Annnnd, yours truly is the coordinator! What we have in store: food trucks – Papa Smurf BBQ, Smoke, Rattle, & Roll, Walker Family Deep Fried Baskets, and Lockbriar Ice Cream! We also have LIVE music by Dell Foxx Company, a caricature artist, beer and wine for sale, and activities for children. See you there!
If we were having coffee together this week, I’d tell you that I’ve established two work-related (non-fitness) goals for myself this summer. 1) give away many of my day-t0-day tasks that prevent me from the big picture work required of my position 2) not work a full 5-day week each week this summer. I have SO much vacation time, it’s time to start using it. Hello, 4-day work weeks (or fewer!).
If we were having coffee together this week, I’d tell you that I’m getting super excited for our birthday hiking trip! I love hiking on my birthday, it’s my favorite thing to do. We’re doing about 10 miles on the Appalachian Trail.
If we were having coffee together this week, I’d tell you that I’m also gearing up for the first of three FREE, Family Fitness nights in Chestertown! The first one is next week. I’m eager to hear from families about the interests for activities. I have several things planned, but of course I want to make sure the people who plan to attend enjoy/can do all of the activities! If you’re planning on coming, share with me what you and/or your kiddos like to do. Don’t have kiddos? Please still plan to come! It’s so much fun to work out with lots of different age groups.
If we were having coffee together this week, I’d tell you that I get to have a REAL life coffee date with my world traveler Carly next week!!!! Can’t wait to squeeze her and bring her to all the fitness classes (heheeeee!).
If we were having coffee together this week, I’d tell you that I’m treating myself to a barre class AND a Buti class this weekend for my birthday. Did you know that the husband and I almost share a birthday? Mine is May 28, his is May 29! Isn’t that fun?!
For his birthday gift (let’s see if he sees this), I’m planning a fun adventure gift. I LOVE getting and giving adventure gifts. It’s so much more fun than a thing that we will not use (unless it is a thing we NEED, which are becoming less and less of a thing as we get older).
If we were having coffee together this week, I’d tell you that I’m also gearing up for some summer travel. On the itinerary: Ocean City (family trip!), hiking in PA, Chicago, the Outer Banks, beach weekend in DE, and maybe one other work-related trip out west. Super fun summer ahead!
What’s on your plate this week? Are you gettin’ down with the Strong, Sexy Arms Challenge? I’m so loving this challenge!
